Literature Text

You were reading (F/B) in the bunker, sipping some coffee and sitting at the large table. You had moved in here about six months after becoming Sam's girlfriend. Since you were both hunters, and your home was basically whatever motel you could find in the middle of hunts, Sam had asked if you'd like to move in with him (after discussing it with Dean, of course). Suddenly, you heard someone walking towards you. Before you had time to turn around, large, muscular arms wrapped themselves around your shoulders.
"G'morning, (Y/N)," Sam whispered. You placed down your book, smiled, and leaned on his arm.
"Morning, Sammy," you replied sleepily. The moose grinned; he had never minded when you called him by his pet name, much to Dean's dismay.
"Sleep good? No nightmares? You looked wiped after yesterday's hunt." he asked.
"Slept like a baby," you paused. "You know, I never really understood that saying. Babies wake up and cry in the middle of the night."
Sam laughed. "Very true. Now," he moved your book across the table, out of your reach. "get dressed."
You turned around and put on your infamous pout. "Hey, I was reading that! And why do I need to get dressed? Did you guys pick up a hunt?"
"Nope. We're having a well deserved break day, and I'm taking you on a date."
It was little surprises like this that cause your heart to flutter, and love Sam more and more with each passing day. Well, surprises and just… Sam. He is undeniably handsome, has the sweetest personality, and is overall… kind and loving. You couldn't be happier.

After taking a quick shower, dressing, and jumping into the Impala (to your surprise, Dean had let Sam borrow it for the day), careful not to get your slight damp, (H/C), hair on the leather (knowing the elder Winchester would throw a fit), you asked, "So, what's the plan?"
"That's for me to know, and you to find out," he grinned, his tongue in between his teeth. Without warning, he pulled out a blindfold and began tying it around your eyes. You scoffed, and crossed your arms.
"It'll be worth it, I promise," he said reassuringly, then kissed you on the cheek, causing you to smile.

A half an hour later, the Impala stopped at its destination.
"Can I take off my blindfold yet?" you asked.
"Patience, (Y/N)," Sam said teasingly. You heard his door shut, and the trunk pop open. After a few more minutes of silence, your door opened, and Sam held your hand in his giant one. Behind your blindfold did you see bright sunshine leaking through, and felt grass underneath your sandals. The breeze around you felt nice and warm as Sam lead you to who-knows-where.
"And… you can look now," he pronouced.
You looked out before you lay a large meadow below you. To your right was a large oak tree, and your left did Sam sit on a picnic blanket, a large basket in his hands. You were on a large hill, just you and him by the looks of it. You sat down slowly, letting Sam pull you into his lap.
"It's gorgeous, Sam," you breathed, leaning your head back.
"You're gorgeous, (Y/N)," he replied with, pulling out a sandwich. "Hungry?"
Together you spent the day eating various snacks, ranging from potato chips to salads, rolling about the hill, climbing up the nearby tree, and laying in each others arms. It wasn't long until the sun began to set.
Sam hugged you closer, staring out into the sunset. "Do you have any idea about how much I love you?" he asked.
You smiled for what felt like the millionth time today. "I love you more."
"Yeah, right."
"Really. I do."
He scoffed, then abruptly turned around to capture your lips into a sweet, passionate kiss, all while laying you down on the blanket. You wrapped your arms around his neck while he tilted his head, deepening the kiss.
Too soon, he pulled back. "I love you so much, (Y/N)," he repeats. He standed up, then got down again on one knee. "You are the best thing that could've ever happened to me. Before you, I was a mess what with Dean, the fall, and… you know. Everything from the past ten years. You understand me, and… I want to be there for you. Always. I will always protect you and," he paused for air, while your eyes began to well up. "I love you. I will always love you." Sam took out a little black box from his pocket, and you began to cry. "Will you, (Y/N) (L/N), marry me?"
You shakily bring your hands to your mouth and nod frantically. It doesn't take you long to regain your voice and say, "Yes",  only to have the moose tackle you in an engulfing hug. This is, you thought, the best little surprise ever.
Hello! This is my first reader story, so... hopefully it's not terrible. Enjoy! :)
